IO9 Says:

The remake of aliens-bearing-gifts show V aired an epic trailer last night during FlashForward. But now the show, which was already on a production hiatus, has had its shutdown extended according to one fansite. Is the alien invasion failing?

When the hiatus was originally announced, back in August, it was just a couple of weeks, and Warner Bros. execs said it was designed to take advantage of the leeway from the show’s already-announced Nov. 3 premiere date to “maximize creative difficulties.”

Vfiles site says : For those who may not have heard the news or haven’t been following it, there were some legal rumblings in regards to what ABC’s new take on their remake of V was going to be.. The issue was that the Writers Guild of America ( WGA ) couldn’t decide of V was a remake or not.. You can find the whole article here!

“V,” the 1980s miniseries about alien lizards visiting Earth, will invade primetime once again.

ABC is developing a new adaptation of the franchise — which spawned a second mini and TV spinoff — written by “The 4400″ co-creator/exec producer Scott Peters.
